Here to Help

We know college can be challenging, and we encourage you to take advantage of our support services; someone is always here to assist you. Your Academic Adviser

Every new ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ student is placed with an academic adviser who will help discover the academic program that will work best for you. After you declare a major, you’ll have a discipline-specific adviser who will guide you through course selection relevant to your academic goals. Your academic adviser is an invaluable resource, be sure to set up a time to meet with them.

Academic advisers can help with:

  • Exploring major and career options
  • Assisting with course selection and academic planning
  • Understanding your graduation and degree requirements
  • Connecting you to learning services
  • Understanding academic policies and procedures

Your Administrative Dean

In addition to your faculty adviser, each student is assigned an administrative dean to support you during your time at ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½.  Administrative deans provide guidance, connect you with valuable ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ resources, and assist if challenges arise that affect your academics or your personal life. If unsure where to start, turn to your administrative dean first.  Learn more about Administrative Deans

Administrative deans can help with:

The best advice to give to ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ students — talk to your advisers. I visit my admin for advice on how to balance school and personal life, and talk to my academic advisers about plans after graduation. In areas where I felt unsure, the faculty at ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ supported me and assured me through the process.
